In October of 1980, she began to oversee police dispatchers as a Communications Supervisor, which requires a calm, yet assertive demeanor. In 1994, she went on to earn her AS in Police Science from Calhoun Community College in Decatur, Alabama, later receiving an A.S. in Police Science & received her B.S. from Athens State University in Public Safety Administration. Graduated law school from Birmingham School of Law in 2005 and started practicing 2006.
